Primary Purpose:
Facilitate the efficient operation of both the school counseling and assistant principals’ offices by maintaining current and accurate confidential student records including organizing all state testing materials and discipline referrals.
Qualifications
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent
Special Knowledge and Skills:
Proficient typing, word processing, and file management skills
Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets and databases, and word processing
Experience
One to three years secretarial/clerical experience, preferably in a public education environment
Major Responsibilities and Duties
1. Assist in organizing all state testing materials.
2. Maintain all records dealing with student discipline.
3. Set up in- school suspension and Saturday D-Hall schedules
4. Prepare or create all forms, correspondence, and documents for the counselor and assistant
principals’ offices
5. Coordinate the scheduling for all PST and 504 meetings with parents and teachers
6. Maintain folders for all At-Risk students
7. Assign students’ lockers and maintain records in computer
8. Maintain the “Lost and found”

Maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruptions. Repetitive hand motions;
